Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A WALLET mysteriously appeared one morning on a desk in the Road Haulage Association's headquarters in Fulham. It had been placed there by a cleaner who had found it. It contained papers identifying it with a known petty thief whom the police already believed had broken into the premises. Not only had he autographed his work but he was thought to have entered cheekily through the security committee secretary's window.

If I am not mistaken, one of several burglars at the association's former headquarters at Euston also broke in through the security officer's window a roguish gesture akin to carving one's signature on the dock at the Old Bailey.
