T road and sea services to ports in North Africa and Middle East have been ched by Cave Wood nsport) and Ignatio ma and Co of Genoa this 31/2-day run by road from 31( to Messina's roll-on/ )ff terminal in La Spezia s the basis for the new ces. Cave Wood claims goods are carried to their destination by one operator and that loads are despatched from the UK within 24 hours. The company offers its cus-, torners ZOtt containers, semitrailers and specialised lowloading and machinery trailers up to 50 tonnes capacity.
The fleet operating from La Spezia numbers 18 vessels, while two more are being modified to join the service and a further four are being obtained on charter.
