Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Last weekend's French Truck Grand Prix "Superfine was won by Curt Goransson, followed in by Hans De Marwitz with George Allen in third place.

The 15-lap final at the Paul Ricard circuit began with Jiri Moskal in pole position, ahead of Mel Lindsey and Heinz Dehnhardt. De Marwitz immediately snatched the lead in his MAN 19.292 but, by lap seven, he was being challenged by Goransson (Volvo N12) who had fought his way through the grid. De Manvitz managed to stay in front for another two laps, but at the end of lap nine Goransson stormed past him to take a lead which he held to the flag.

George Allen (Volvo White) passed Crozier, Walker and Dehnhardt early on to secure third spot ahead of Rolf Bjorek, while Centural Oils' Richard Walker (Kenworth W900) overtook Dehnhardt on the final lap to grab fifth place.

Earlier in the day De Marwitz had been troubled by an electrical failure which forced him out of the Class B race. It was repaired just in time for the Last Chance race, in which he took third place to earn a position in the Superfmal. In the preliminary races, Gerard Cuynet won Class A in the Ford Cargo, Goeransson took Class B and Rolf Bjoerk (Scania 1143) won Class C.

The Superfinal attracted large crowds, but several prominent European drivers were absent, including European Champion Slim Borgudd, Brian Garnett, Stan Hart and Allen Hodge.
