VEHICLE REPAIR experts from around the world met in the UK this week for the four-day conference organised by the Research Committee for Automobile Repairs.
RCAR was set up 10 years ago to exchange vehicle repair research information among research centres in several countries and it now encourages joint studies of technical problems and reviews developments in the vehicle repair field.
The participating countries are the UK, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, France, West Germany, Italy, Australia, Japan and the USA.
This year's host for the RCAR meeting was the Motor Insurance Repair Research Centre at Thatcham, Berkshire. Delegates also visited Ford and Austin-Rover.
