Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

RECENTLY I had to attend court in London (Knightsbridge Magistrates Court) following an accident in Earls Court Road, London, the police charged me with having an "insecure load", I pleaded not guilty.

I was charged under Section 97 paragraph (2) of the Road Transport Act. Being a member of Routiers and DAS, I was represented by a lawyer appointed by DAS. The charge carried a maximum penalty of £1000 plus 3 penalty points.

With his expert knowledge and advice, I had a verdict of not guilty and was awarded £150 costs. I was a member who had second thoughts about renewal of membership, in future it will be a priority and no second thoughts! Also being an owner driver this will be a part of my standing costs.

I would recommend all ownerdrivers to pay this premium, and of course company drivers too.

Many thanks for a quick response and a super service. What more can I say?

C. G. Wensley, Wensley Transport, Tiverton, Devon.
