Although nothing is being said officially about the experiments, it is expected that the White Paper will follow the same lines. Mr Ridley is known to be keen to encourage rural services to avoid isolation for those without private transport. It is uncertain if his plans extend to urban services also. Legislation could be introduced in the Autumn.
