MANAGING DIRECTOR of Daf Trucks (GB) from October 1 this year will be Roger Phillips. He will succeed Phil Ives, who retires on September 30.
Sales director since 1981, Mr Phillips joined the Dutch lorry builder's British subsidiary in 1974 as fleet development manager. Later he was made field sales manager. At the same time as Mr Phillips takes up his appointment, Cliff Grant will start work in the newly-created position of deputy managing director. He retains his current responsibilities as financial director.
Both men join the board of Daf Trucks (GB). After the Netherlands, Britain is Daf's largest market.
