Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

I N a statement last Saturday, Mr.

Geoffrey Lloyd, M.P.. who was at one time in charge of the Petroleum Warfare Department, said that an immediate protest should be lodged against the comment made on Friday by the Minister of Fuel and Power, that the price of petrol was not high in comparison with rises that had taken place in other costs.

Mr. Lloyd said that the Government's aim was apparently to raise low prices to the level of the highst instead of trying to reduce high prices. In six months, the price of fuelhad been increased by half. Mr. Lloyd foresaw little hope of a fall in the cost of living.
