BUSINESS MOVES

TLS moves

• Vehicle rental and contract-hire company TLS is to open its first depot in Northern Ireland. Launching on 1 August in Belfast, it will offer a complete range of vehicles and back-up services. The company has appointed Alan McCue as market development manager for Ireland. TLS has also moved its North-East depot across town in Gateshead from its Felling Industrial Estate site to Eleventh Avenue North on the Team Valley Trading Estate. Contact 0161 743 4000.

Name change

• Replacement exhaust and catalytic converter manufacturer and distributor Timax Exhaust Systems has changed its name to Arvin Replacement Products. Timax's parent company TESH, the replacement exhaust and catalyst manufacturing group serving the European aftermarket, will be known as the European Exhaust & Catalyst division of Arvin Replacement Products.

Lawyers merge

• Chester-based solicitors The Wake Dyne Partnership has merged with road transport solicitors Jonathan S Lawton. The Wake Dyne Partnership was the first firm in the country to specialise exclusively in road haulage, minerals, waste and environmental law when it was established in May 1997. The new firm will be known as Wake Dyne Lawton and will operate from Tattenhall, near Chester, with another office in Manchester.

Containerlift video

• Containerlift Services has produced a 10-minute video to mark the imminent delivery of its 10th Containerlift vehicle. The company places containers on the ground for clients who have to pack large or awkward items. Most of its clients are those who do not ship goods by container in sufficient quantity to provide their own loading bays or ramps.
