Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

reefer vehicles operating on international journeys, carrying frozen and deep frozen food, will go up by almost 11% from 21 July.

Although the Department of Transport has pegged the fees for testing, examining, and issuing ATP certificates, the price for the daily use of an ATP test chamber will go up from 2220 to 2260.

As a result, the overall cost of ATP testing and certification of a reefer vehicle — whether a semi trailer or a rigid truck — will rise from the current 2850.15 to 2942.15, including VAT. This is based on a two-day test.

The charge for reefer vehicles type approval also goes up from 21,693.50 to 21,785.50, including VAT.

The DTp says it has been able to peg the fees for testing, examining and issuing GV229 certificates due to streamlining of procedures and simplified paperwork. It also reports an upswing in demand for ATP certification from UK operators.
