• Members of the Civil and Public Servants' Association are being balloted this week to see if they support an escalation in their dispute with the Government over pay to a full, all-out, strike from Monday 20 July. A spokesman for the CPSA said that a result is expected to be announced by Thursday 15 July.
If an all-out strike is called, TIR operators will face a new round of long delays at ports and docks.
The CPSA's deputy general secretary John Macreadie has urged the Society of Civil and Public Servants to join the CPSA in an all-out strike. The CSPS is seeking further negotiations with the Government.
