Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

HOSE CLIPS have a nasty habit of failing just at the wrong moment and often the right sized one is out of stock. To help the situation Herbert Terry of Redditch has introduced the Flexigrip range which is said to incorporate a stronger and more flexible treaded band made of . stainless steel, conforming more readily to the shape of the hose.

Stainless steel also provides even greater resistance to corrosion and results in vastly improved torque values, says Herbert Terry.

Flexigrip hose clips carry the British Standards Kitemark but its makers say in practice the performance of the hoseclips well exceeds the requirements of BS 5315.

Despite all these and other improvements, says Herbert Terry, Flexigrip hoseclips will cost no more than normal Terry worm drive hoseclips, and there are attractive discounts.

The full range of BS sizes is already available in Flexigrip and the range even extends as far as 305mm (12in) diameter hoseclips for special applications.
