MITCHELL COTTS Freight (UK) has moved into new purpose-built premises at Rainham in Essex.
The new facility provides 33,000sqft of warehouse space, adjustable height loading bays and electrically operated shutter doors.
The special loading dock allows intensive utilisation of the facility and can handle the loading or unloading of as many as eight vehicles at once.
The depot, with a staff of 60, has been designed for handling groupage and break-bulk ISO containers and TIR trailers, and brings together the company's London area surface freight activities under one roof. The company has already introduced new freight business from the Continent since its move.
The depot address, which is also the new base for Mitchell Cotts Exports, is Mitchell Cotts Freight (UK) Ltd, Freight House, Lamson Road, Ferry Lane Industrial Estate, Rainham, Essex FIM13 9YY.
