THE FREIGHT Transport Association has set up a scheme offeri independent advice on a range of vehicle related matters to members.
Under the name of the Special Investigation Service, or SIS, it will try to find solutions to the causes of accidents, persistent defects, breakdowns, driver grumbles and shoddy work. The SIS will try to determi whether serious or fatal ac dents were due to the mechai cal condition of the vehicle. necessary, SIS will stand Court to state its findings.
Where there are disputes wi outside or unfamiliar repairs the SIS provides professior advice and ensures proper f; treatment.
