in inches has been announced by Legris (UK) Ltd that are known as LF3000 couplers and complement the company's millimetre range announced last year. They are suitable for tubes conveying compressed air, CO2 gas, water, alcohol, natural gas, town gas, propane and methane, and for mineral oils used in hydraulic equipment and as a lubricant.
A nylon tube is coupled "instantly" by pushing the tube into the coupling where it is sealed by an 0-ring and locked by a collet. The tube can be withdrawn after the collet has been pressed in with a screwdriver.
The couplers have a grey Hostaform (acetal copolymer) body, whereas the body of the mm range is in black Hostaform. They are offered in the usual configurations such as stud fittings, elbow tube-to-tube, Tee tube to tube, straight-through tube-to-tube, stud elbows and stud tees and have plug-in reducers.
Sizes cover in., in., ain., -kin., gin., in., and lin. outside diameters, while the metric range covers 4mrn, 5mm, 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, 12mm and 14mm o.d, nylon tubes. The rated working pressure is 18 Bars (256 psi).
