Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A disposable wiper which is to be distributed under the brand name "JM General Wipers" has been introduced by industrial wiper specialist, J. Mullett and Co Ltd.

Made from a non-woven, acrylically bonded, cotton-based material, the new wipers are produced in three grades—standard and heavy grey/blue and unbleached white—with three sizes in each grade.

Laboratory tests have been carried out to prove that common industrial solvents are readily absorbed by all three grades and do not change, break down or destroy the wipers in any way.

Similar tests using acids did produce colour changes, but it was only a 60/50 solution of concentrated sulphuric and hydrochloric acids that eventually destroyed the wipers.

Several months of field tests in a variety of uses, especially the mopping up of different grades of oil and detergent suds, were equally encouraging, and it is claimed that in typical in-use situations, the absorbency and life of the wipers has been excellent, Produced by: J. Mullett and Co Ltd, Norton St. Philip, Bath, BA3 ELG.

Price: 2000 14in. x 12in. wipers £16.00.
