• At each of the 11 points where a seven-mile stretch of Busway Track crosses a public road at Runcorn New Town, traffic signals will change automatically to allow a Busway bus to go across without stopping. Work started this week on laying the final surfacing—a specially designed asphalt with good anti-skid characteristics. The track is due to come into operation in October.
