UNDER an agreement with British Railways, Tartan Arrow Service Ltd. is to charter two trains to carry its LondonGlasgow trunk traffic, one train running in each direction every night. About 600 tons capacity will be available each night.
It is understood that Tartan Arrow intends to dispose of its road trunk fleet (the company runs over 100 vehicles) and expects to spend around £1 m. in depots at London and Glasgow on sites leased from the railways for an initial period of 99 years.
