• A MONGST the exhibits at the r-t Production Exhibition, which opened at Olympia on Wednesday last and which closes on July 14, is a batteryelectric fork truck by Conveyancer Fork Trucks, Ltd., Warrington. A range of metal pallets, produced by Rubery Owen and Co., Ltd., Darlaston, will accompany this exhibit.

The Hydruped fork truck shown by R. H. Corbett and Co., Ltd., Hydrum Works, Burgess Hill, Sussex, employs a traction battery coupled to a hydraulic system. Its capacity is 10 cwt.

This concern are also demonstrating their Hydrum loader and other forms of mechanical-handling ..equipment, including a range of trailers for internal transport.

Lansing Bagnall, Ltd., Kingsclerc Road, Basingstoke, have a number of works tractors on display including oil-engined and battery-electric models. Fork trucks, pedestrian-controlled pallet trucks and stand-on trucks, all battery driven, are also being shown.

Models and photographs are used by the British Transport Commission to illustrate the efforts made by transport to improve productivity.
