IMPORTANT GOODS-TRANSPORT MERGER.

As from July 1, 1937, Freeguard Bros. Transport Co., William I3ater and Sons, and the Somerton Transport Co., Ltd., have been merged under the title of All British Carriers, Ltd., with registered offices at Dock Street, Newport, Mon. The general manager is Mr. John Freeguard, who is also a director of the company, Which has branch offices in London, Birmingham, Liverpool, Gloucester. Skewen and Swansea.

,The combine concerned operates daily trunk services between all parts of South Wales, London, the Midlands and the North, and the merger will result in greater efficiency -and better services.

The entire fleet of the combined companies is, we learn, to be replaced by up-to-date vehiclth, and 20 new Alhions "W t h Gardner oil engines will be delivered in the course of the 'next few weeks.

It is of interest to note that most of the directors of All British Carriers, Ltd., are also directors of the newly registered public company. Red and White United Transport, Ltd.
