Halley's Report.

The _report of the directors of Halley Motors, Ltd., for the year ended March 31st last shows that, after bringing forward £3,038 from the previous year, transferring £693 from share premiums and reserves not now required, and allowing an adequate sum for depreciation, there remains a balance at the debit of the profit and loss account of £1,817.

The report mentions that the period under review has been one of transition from old to new models, but it was impossible to put the new models on the market before the closing months of the financial year. In the circumstances, the directors do not consider the result at all discouraging. It is stated that the new models, which include the Conqueror bus chassis and a 4-ton forwardcontrol goods chassis, have met with a most favourable reception. For the first two months bf the current year deliveries have increased by about 50 per cent. over those for the same period of 1928.

Resignation Honours.

The publication of the Resignation Honours was made too late to enable us to deal with them in our issue for last week, although, as a matter of fact, few of them affected individuals of any great interest to the motor industry. The most important is that Sir William Joynson-Hicks, Bt., M.P., becomes a Viscount, Earl Howe, V.D., R.N.V.R., C.B.E., is made a Privy Councillor, Mr. A. J. Bennett, IP., M.P., receives a baronetcy, and a G.B.E. is conferred on Sir Harold Bowden, Bt.

This exhibition, which was rather well attended last year, includes sections for heavy-oil engines, tractors, gasdriven lorries, gas-prodncers and motordriven agricultural implements. It is an open-air show, and should not be confused with the annual Salon de ,la. Machine Agrieole. The latter will be held from January 21st to 26th, 1930.

The Charing Cross Bridge Scheme.

Guy Service Reorganization. Guy Motors, Ltd., Fallings Park, Wolverhampton, has just issued a spareparts catalogue which deals with its ON-type 30-cwt. chassis. The catalogue has been so prepared that even a non(technical man can order any part which may be required, because of the large number of illustrations and various lucid references to the many components and parts which appear. The publication of the list represents one of the final steps in the complete reorganization of the service department of the company._
