Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Tarmac Roadstone (Scotland) is facing demands for a rates increase from two dozen of its regular hauliers, many of them owner-drivers running in the company's livery.

The hauliers, based in the Dumfries area, say that Tarmac reduced their rates when it took over four local quarries more than four years ago, and has refused to increase them since. As well as a rates increase the demands include: Waiting time payments to be re-instated: in other parts of the group Tarmac pays its hauliers if they are delayed at the delivery point for more than half an hour but in Dumfries payments only start after 90 minutes, the hauliers allege.

E Payment if trucks are held up at the quarries for more than an hour waiting to load.

F. A published rates schedule. They also want Tarmac to resume giving mileages in its selfbilling invoices, a practice it stopped a year ago.
