Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

YOUR correspondent Mr F. H. Smith (CM, November 28) is incorrect when he regards the union flag on the Cummins Truckpower logo as being upside down.

It is a well recognised convention that flags are illustrated as flying free to the right, ie with the flag staff on ti left. Thus what is represented the outer half of the flag with t broad white bands correctly positioned below the arms of St Andrew's cross.
