A SPEED limiter device could cut expenditure on fuel by as much as 21 per cent and reduce the overall costs of operation of petrol-powered light vans and cars, claims Torque Ltd, of Rochdale, Lancs.
A micro-processor unit restricts the speed obtainable in each gear to a predetermined level, resulting in added savings in service costs.
Such large savings would pay back the initial outlay of £70 per unit in less than three months.
