A SLIDING BASE that will give fifth-wheel heights as low as 1.2m (50in) on many tractive units has been released by Jost (GB) Ltd, Heywood Industrial Estate, Heywood, Lancs.
The base of the JSV18 slider is claimed to be just 60mm (2.4in) deep and it can be fitted to the ERF B Series, for example, without the need for any chassis modifications. by one man into any of seven positions at 101mm (4in) spacings to give a total travel of 0.6m (2ft).
