DETAILS of three FTA transport management courses for 1976 have now been released. Aimed primarily at newly appointed transport and. depot managers, the one-week residential courses will be held during January and February.

They will cover transport control, road transport law, costing and budgeting, manpower and vehicle utilisation and improving management performance. The courses will be held on January 11-16, Elvetham Hall, Hartley Witney, Hants, February 1-6, HTS Management Centre, High Wycombe, Bucks, and February 22-25, Elvetharn Hall.

Work Study Code

THE Institute of Practitioners in Work Study Organisation and Methods has produced "Codes of Ethics and Practice" which have been distributed to its 22,500 members.

The Code of Practice establishes the functional and professional role of practitioners vis-à-vis management and supervision.

Chloride move

THE Wolverhampton branch of Chloride Gaedor Ltd, the specialist motor trade distribution organisation, has moved to larger premises on the Webner Industrial Estate, Ettingshall Road, Wolverhampton.

The new branch now oilers full workshop facilities in addition to warehousing and specialises in vehicle rewiring electrical fault diagnosis and repairs, radio and stereo fitting and brakes.

M-way opens

THE new M531 Ellesmere Port motorway has opened. It will connect the M53 Mid Wirral motorway to the A5117 Queensferry to Warrington trunk road and will ease traffic problems in Ellesmere Port. Work on the motorway started in July 1972, and the opening day was 18 months behind schedule.
