With the publication of its new metric price list, Alcan Aluminium (UK) has made a basic change in the method of pricing extrusions. The new list which comes into effect on July 1 1970 is based on a system of shape classification that allows prices to reflect manufacturing costs more accurately.
It is also easier to use than the earlier system when establishing prices of new shapes.
To help customers. Alcan is making an issue of the price list in Imperial units. This will be a direct conversion of the metric list and is designed to make the change of price system clear.
Existing price lists continue until July 1 1970. when they will be replaced by the full metric versions.
