• London bus employees are to have a new negotiating machinery. This was approved in London on Wednesday following talks between the GLC transport chiefs and the busmen's representatives. This follows a recent strike threat in protest against feared cuts in services. Both sides agreed that fundamental policy would be to improve and develop services. The new consultative body including eight busmen—which emerged from this week's talks will meet again in two weeks' time.
