SIR REGINALD ROOTEs, deputy chairman of the Rootes group, has left England for India, Ceylon, Australia, New Zealand, the U.S.A. and Canada. He hopes to be back in April. His brother, Sut Wittrast Rooms, is at present visiting North America and the Caribbean as chairman of the group and of the Dollar Exports Council. Five of the 10 Rootes directors are abroad at the moment strengthening export contacts. •

SIR WILLIAm ROOTEs, SIR REGINALD Rao-rEs and MR. BRIAN Rooms have joined the board of Rootes Motors (Canada), Ltd.

J. W. SHIRLEY will shortly be relinquishing his appointment with Eastern Coach Works, Ltd., to take up the position of director and general manager of Park Royal Vehicles, Ltd.
