Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

MATTHEW KIBBLE Transport has been given the green light to build a 24-space trailer park to store vehicles after they return from music tours.

Pendle Borough Council granted planning permission but applied restrictions to its use during weekends and bank holidays. However, MD Matthew Kibble says he is happy with the result, particularly as the Lancashire haulier is now at “bursting point”.

In its planning application, the company says successful trading over the past six years has increased its turnover from £1.1m to £3.6m and that it is now “looking to improve and make safer traffic movement in existing premises”.

Initially, the firm was told it could not use the park at the weekends so that residents were not affected by noise, but Kibble managed to negotiate reduced operating hours instead. “I like a lie-in on a Sunday as much as anyone,” he says. “But they said no to any use on Saturday and Sunday. I managed to argue that would be detrimental to my business.”
