• The DVLA is to issue proposals for drivers' eyesight standards in the next few weeks as part of the Government's move to implement the second Driving Licence Directive.
• Speed camera testing has started on the M25 between 111 (A3) and J15 (Mil) in preparation for a 50mph rush-hour speed limit next spring. Police say the results will not be used to prosecute drivers.
