GREATER Glasgow PTE has restored ten of the routes which it suspended last November during the fourweek strike by maintenance men.

Public reaction to the withdrawal of some services was "not as favourable as expected", said the PTE's director of operations, Neil Townend.

But the suspension had had some advantages from the operational and reliability point of view, he added. Oneperson operation had eased the way to restoring the services.
