Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A STRONG defence of the British commercial vehicle industry was made at Lincoln last week by Mr. L. R. Mumford, works director of Clayton Dewandre Co. Ltd. He was speaking at the company's annual apprentice award presentation ceremony.

He said: "Commercial vehicles are the first need of the emergent countries and every form of commercial and industrial development increases transport requirements. Throughout the world, British commercial vehicles are accepted as the best.

"This company supports entry into the Common Market since we are already the largest manufacturers of power braking equipment in Europe and it is felt that further competition would be to our advantage."
