AN extensive new Leeds-Bradford depot for Hanson Haulage (Leeds), Ltd„ is to be opened by Maj. F. S. Eastwood, the York shire Licensing Authority, on December 29. The site, which is adjacent to the railway at Richardshaw Road, on the Pudsey Industrial Estate, covers approximately four acres. Construction, due to be completed by December 16, is being carried out by George Wimpey and Co.. Ltd.

An outstanding feature is the lengthy transit shed and it seems that the completed premises will rank as one of the largest independently owned smalls depots in the country.

Mr. Frank B. Dyson has been appointed managing director of Hanson Haulage (Leeds). Ltd., with effect from January 1, the date of the new depot at Pudsey becoming operational. Mr. Dyson, who is 41, joined the group in 1934 and is at present general manager of the company.

Mr. E. G. Lebison, 54, is to become managing director of Hanson Haulage, Ltd., on January 1. He has been general manager of the company since 1947.

Mr. Albert Hirst becomes a director of Hanson's Buses, Ltd., on January 1. He was appointed to the Hanson staff in 1932, and became secretary of the company in 1948. He is 51.
