week, the executive committee of the Road Haulage Association did not pledgia support for the Lorry Driver of the Year Competition, no member spoke against it. It was agreed that Mr. V. J. Pike, chairman of the Coventry sub-area, should continue to represent the association in discussions on the formation of a new .body to sponsor the competition.
