A N electrical device for heating the steering wheel of a commercial vehicle has been patented by a reader of The Commercial Motor, Mr. L. Fulham, Fairfield, Red Lane, Kenilworth, Warwickshire.
It consumes 2 amp. and it is claimed that a reasonable degree of heat is felt at the wheel within two minutes of the device being switched on. The heater can be fitted to existing wheels, but the patent covers its incorporation in steering wheels during manufacture.
