• Richard Allen appointed general manager, Peterborough Products. Perkins Engines Group, responsible for the production and profitability of engines built at Perkins' HQ at Peterborough. He was previously with MasseyFerguson.
• Keith Giddings appointed to the newlycreated post of fleet operations manager of Trimoco Vehicle Leasing of Luton, following 10 years with the company. He will be assisted by an additional fleet controller, Martyn Lewis.
• Councillor Geoff Williams, of Southward, elected chairman of the Planning and Transport subcommittee of the London Strategic Policy Committee. Councillor Peter Broadbent is vice-chairman.
• Former chief executive in the Dunlop group Bill Evans has been appointed managing director of Bucks Ltd, the south Londonbased specialist distribution company.
• New managing director of the port of Felixstowe is G Blackhall, MBE, formerly Deputy Managing Director, who joined the Port in 1967. Managing director in 1984, Robin McLeod, formerly operations director, has been appointed Deputy Managing Director.
• Gordon Mills has been appointed engineering manager by Grampian Regional Transport. Mills has worked in public transportation for 14 years, latterly as engineering manager for Eastbourne Council.
• Gary Pickford is the new general manager of Rockfield Contracts. specialists in transport refrigeration based in Liverpool. He is responsible for the total Rockfield operation covering both the contract hire and truck rental divisions.
Pickford joins Rocicfield from BRS Western at Bristol.
