EASTERN Scottish is running a new bus service for tourists in the Borders region.
The service, financed by Borders Regional Council and called the Border Harrier, is said to be the first public bus service in Scotland to include a taped commentary about points of interest along the route.
Running for ten weeks, the route will connect Kelso, Melrose, Selkirk and Peebles and provide a service to historic houses at Abbotsford, Bawhill, Traquhair and St Mary's Loch which has been without a public bus service for a decade.
