THE DETROIT Diesel Allis° division of General Motor has released details of its est industrial engine — th 1 2V-92.
Available in both naturall aspirated and turbocharged ve sions, the engine has a max mum rating of 49610, (665bhp) at 2100rpm.
The company claims that if engine is ideally suited for use i 50 tonne dumpers popular i mining and other off-highwa applications.
All Detroit Diesel industri, engines are covered by th company's 12 month, 100 pi cent parts and labour warran. with no limit on operating hour The cylinder block, connectir rods and crankshaft are covere for 36 months or 12,000 hou for the cost of the parts.
The warranty also covers removal and re-installation the engine, if necessary, durir the first 12 months.
