INTERNATIONAL Harvester and Spanish manufacturer ENM.. have extended the deadline for final completion of talks on thr joint involvement. Delegates from the Spanish state holding company INI (whi, owns 91 per cent of ENASA) have met with IH executives in NE York, but reports that the deadline has been extended by up to tv months were neither confirmed nor denied by I H this week.
The American company was expected to take a 35 per ce shareholding in ENASA as part of an agreement whereby invested $ 100m in the construction of a new factory near Madr for the assembly of the IH DT 466-Series engine.
