1ENAULT Trucks & Buses (UK) Ltd has introduced an exended warranty scheme for new and used vehicles of any nake.
Called Multicover, the cherne provides second-year over for driveline components engine, gearbox and rear axle) if new vehicles after expiry of he maker's original warranty, nd one year's warranty on used )rries.
Renault says vehicles of any make up to tour years old with under 200,000 recorded miles are eligible. They can either be used lorries sold through the company's dealer network, or an operator's existing vehicles. Cover takes effect after the first month, during which vehicles would normally carry a dealer's warranty.
Renault Trucks claims that Multicover rates are competitive-single premium payments are one and a half per cent of the purchase price of a new vehicle (or those still under warranty), or two per cent for used vehicles..
Benefits total 25 per cent of a vehicle's value in any one year offered, with up to ten per cent obtainable for a single claim.
Optional cover for use outside the UK costs one third of the basic premium and cover for loss of use, breakdown and recovery may be added for £75 per vehicle.
Multicover is available from all Renault Trucks" main dealers.
