:UMBRIA County Council is eady to issue certificates of !xemption now that its A591 hree-ton lorry ban will start in September 1.
The ban seeks to stop lorries ver that weight from using the oad between the Swan Hotel, irasmere, and its junction with hie B5322 St John's in the Vale oad, following improvements the A66 Penrith-Workington runk route.
But they will be allowed to Ise the road when they need ccess to land or premises near or if they are too big to use the 16 or M6. The certificates of xemption will be issued for a one bounded by Barrow-inurness, Oxenholme, Thirlmere, nd Ullswater.
