A NEW overland road service to Pakistan has been started by MAT Transport (Middle East) Ltd. The service will initially be for full export and import loads and import • groupage.
The full-load service operates door to door from Britain to Rawalpindi, Lahore, Karachi and other major towns in Pakistan.
The transit time on export loads is about 27 days and for the import service about 40 days. Driver accompanied trailers will be used throughout and the company's agent in Pakistan are Saleemsons Ltd of Karachi, which has offices throughout the country.
