Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

ASECOND multigrade engine oil, Shell X-100 20W/40, has been introduced by Shell-Mex and B.P. Ltd. It is said to cover a still wider range of needs than the existing Shell X-100 10W/30 multigrade.

The new oil is suitable for vehicles which are habitually driven fairly hard, and those having a high oil consumption because of engine wear. It is intended for the user who normally takes a: 40-grade oil or for those who, although using a 30 grade, would welcome a heavier multigrade than 10W/30.

It is stated that the new lubricant flows as freely as a-20W grade at 0°F., yet has the characteristics of .a 40-grade oil at normal piston-ring temperature.
