Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• UK truck sales for the first three months of the year stand at 7,892 — a fall of 11.5% on the same period last year. For all commercial vehicles the figure is 11.6% down, according to the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders. Leyland Daf, Iveco Ford and MercedesBenz retain their hold at the top of the sales league, although all sold fewer trucks in March this year than in March 1991.

However, Volvo, MAN, Scania, Seddon Atkinson and Foden all increased their sales for March compared with the same period last year.
