Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

AMERICAN lorry driver members of the Teamsters Union have settled their three day strike which threatened to paralyse the country's transport system. They accepted an 18 per cent pay rise over three years.

The Teamsters move 60 per cent of the country's food and manufactured goods and the rise is thought to add significantly to the American family's cost of living.

An average driver will now get around £4.47 per hour ($8.95) compared to the £3.65 ($7.30) he now earns. And the settlement will also give them an open-ended cost of living allowance £8.50 ($17.00) a week in pensions health and other benefits.
