Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE Freight Transport Association has told the Government that it regrets the decision to end the plans for security lorry parks (CM March 26) and urged it to go ahead with a less ambitious scheme.

The Association has written to the DoE that they would welcome a "strong pragmatic approach involving minimum resources and finance but requiring a sympathetic and positive planning approach."

Think again

The FTA's letter urges the DoE to think again on the decision and go ahead with an economy version of the plan.

Plans for lorry parks will assume increasing importance following decisions on lorry routeing, it says. "The earmarking of land does not demand large financial resources and will ensure that as time passes the situation will improve rather than continue to get steadily worse."
