Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

IN the following surveys (continuing CM's annual reviews of servicing aids) three classes of equipment of importance in the efficient running of a maintenance organization are dealt with. These are brake servicing equipment, heating equipment for workshops and wall-type planning boards and charting systems.

The efficient functioning and reliability of brakes is of top importance to all vehicle operators and drivers. Equipment is readily available to maintain the rated performance and a wide variety is covered in this review.

This may seem an odd time of the year to include a survey of workshop heating equipment but this is the time to budget for, or start thinking of ordering such items in preparation for next winter's cold conditions.

No matter how good maintenance' facilities are there can be chaos without adequate planning. With a wall-planning chart correctly applied to the circumstances in a particular fleet it is possible to see at a glance the current maintenance situation. Used properly a charting system will ensure that important dates in a vehicle's life are never missed.
