AFTER an appeal by Shergold and White, Ltd., against the imposition of a condition by the Western Licensing Authority restricting the picking-up of passengers at Perham Down camp on their express service between Tidworth and Birmingham, the Minister of Transport has made an Order for the condition to be withdrawn.
In the Minister's view, the condition was "unreasonable in operation, and that for all practical purposes the sharing of traffic between Shergold and White, Ltd., and the Wilts and Dorset Motor Services, Ltd., will be regulated sufficiently by the vehicle allowances authorized on the relevant licences."
