THE Minister of Transport has rejected the appeals of two operators against the South Wales licensing Authority's refusal to grant them permission to run new express services to theatres in Cardiff, Newport and Pontypridd. The appeals were heard by Mr. W. Tudor Davies.
Howells and Withers, Ltd., appealed against a decision in respect of services from Markham, Crumlin, Oakdale and Fleur-de-Lis to the New Theatre at Cardiff, the Lyceum in Newport and the Town Hall Theatre in Pontypridd.
A service to the New Theatre at Cardiff from Porthcawl was concerned in the appeal by Porthc-awl Omnibus Co., Ltd.
